When I got my "new" website going a year ago, I made a promise to myself that I would visit my blog at least once a month. I let time go by, and boy, does it go by quickly. Before I new it, another year had gone by. I am going to try again and try to keep up.
Many exciting things happened during the year. Perhaps the most exciting was about a month ago I was honored by being selected to be "a Second Half Hero". This was through Lifespan of Rochester. What an honor it was. The award was given at a lunch in the Convention Center of Rochester with almost 1500 people in attendance. Wow! I never was at anything with so many people present. Got to meet Joan Lunden who was the guest speaker. She is amazing and beautiful too. She gave a very interesting speech in which she talked about her life. Pretty impressive. Got my picture taken with her. Now, I have to work even harder to "honor" the honor received.
This last weekend I was fortunate enough to attend a PMC jewelry class with Holly Gage, an outstanding jeweler and teacher . This was a very impressive class, totally out of my comfort zone in design. I did not finish my project, but I will. It will take a little time. When I finish, I will post it here. Holly is a wonderful teacher; very creative and giving, and she made everyone feel at ease. We had a wonderful group of jewelry artists. It was a fun Saturday and Sunday.
